Inn Policies Check-in & Check-out Check-in: 4:00 pm Check-out: 11:00 am During busy seasons — especially fall foliage — our team uses the time between departures and arrivals to thoughtfully prepare each room for the next guest. This includes deep cleaning, laundry, property upkeep, errands, and event hosting. Because of this, we’re typically unable to welcome guests before 4:00 pm. If you plan to arrive after 9:00 pm, please give us a call in advance so we can arrange our simple late check-in process. Arriving Early? We completely understand that travel timing doesn’t always line up perfectly. However, early check-in is rarely available, and we’re often away from the inn between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm while preparing for arrivals. If you find yourself in town early, we recommend enjoying a little time around Stowe: A relaxed stop at The Alchemist Coffee or a light bite at Movement Coffee Roasters, Black Cap Coffee, or the Woodlands Bakery Shopping or strolling through the village paths and recreation trail It’s a lovely way to start your stay while we finish getting everything just right for you. During the Fall foliage season and during Christmas week, all stays must be at least two nights. Reservation Deposits Upon making a reservation, a 50% deposit including tax will be charged to your credit card to hold and guarantee your reservation. Extras (chocolates, sleigh rides, massages, etc.,) are charged at the time they are ordered. A single night’s stay is charged 100% when the reservation is made. Low/High Season All months other than April, May, and November are considered High Season. Cancellation Policy As a small, independently owned inn, each reservation directly impacts our business. We do not overbook rooms like large hotels, and once a room is reserved, it is removed from availability for other guests. For this reason, our cancellation policy is firm and strictly enforced. Damage to Property We take great pride in keeping our inn clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained for every guest. We kindly ask that rooms and common areas be treated with care and respect during your stay. Guests are responsible for any damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning needs that occur during their visit. This may include, but is not limited to: Broken or missing items Excessive stains to linens, towels, or furnishings Burns, smoke, or strong odors Damage to furniture, fixtures, or décor Cleaning beyond normal housekeeping standards Charges If damage occurs, repair or replacement costs will be assessed accordingly. Typical charges range from $100 to $2,000+, depending on the extent of the issue. Charges may include: Professional cleaning or repair Replacement of items Labor costs Lost room revenue if the room must be temporarily taken out of service The credit card on file may be used to cover these costs. While the act does not require the inn to provide accessible rooms in all situations due to its size and age, the owners will work to ensure every guest who wishes to visit can do so regardless of their physical abilities. Among the ways the Stone Hill Inn complies with the ADA: We ensure that individuals with disabilities can make reservations during the same hours and in the same manner as individuals without disabilities. We have identified and described accessible features and inaccessible features in our bed and breakfast and guest rooms in detail to allow individuals with disabilities to determine whether our B&B meets their needs. The Notch guestroom is handicapped-equipped. We ensure that accessible guest rooms are held for use by individuals with disabilities until all other guest rooms of that type have been rented. We will reserve, upon request, accessible guest rooms or specific types of guest rooms and ensure that the reserved rooms are blocked and removed from our reservation system. We guarantee that a specific accessible guest room, once reserved, is held for the reserving customer. We make reasonable efforts with third-party reservation systems to make accessible rooms available through at least some of these services and they must provide these third-party services with information concerning the accessible features of the hotel and the accessible rooms. Details about the Notch ADA guestroom and Common Areas The Notch is an ADA-compliant room . The Notch guest room, doors, and attached bathroom are wheelchair accessible. The spacious bathroom includes a sink that accommodates a wheelchair, and the roll-in shower is equipped with handrails. Compared to other rooms, this guestroom bed is lower, and the room is located closest to the exit. The Stone Hill Inn is on one floor, and the dining room, game room, and great room are wheelchair accessible. The back patios and gardens are accessed by a single step down and may not be wheelchair accessible from the Notch, great room, or game room. However, if a guest wants to enjoy the back patio and gardens, we will make every effort to assist by helping them around the building from the front door of the Inn.
