“Best Romantic Getaway in Vermont”

My partner and I finally found our ideal romantic getaway in the Stone Hill Inn. The quiet inn caters to couples only and each of the rooms has a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. As Vermonters, our idea of escaping to an inn means hiding out from life at an inn where we can just be together. We had an in-room double massage and even ordered take-out. There was ample space in the room for us to use WiFi to do yoga and meditate and we loved being able to walk/snowshoe right from our room door. Private seating at breakfast kept our experience intimate and we took advantage of the large living room to watch movies from the huge library and had the space all to ourselves. Kristie and Todd were helpful and attentive when needed, but not hovering as can be the case at some establishments. So many inns or resorts only have the top-priced rooms with both a Jacuzzi and fireplace, while the Stone Hill Inn’s nine rooms all include these features, and for a better price than other comparable rooms in the area.

“Fabulous Romantic Getaway”

My second visit and it was everything I remembered and more. The grounds are serene, rooms are spacious and cozy, and breakfasts were delectable. Wonderful central location and Todd and Kristie were the ideal hosts. We cannot wait to return again!

“Hallmark Experience”

My husband booked this trip to celebrate my 60th birthday! It could not have been more perfect. We went the first week in December and I truly had my “Hallmark” experience. The snow was gorgeous, the inn was warmly inviting and absolutely gorgeous! Todd and Kristie are perfect hosts making sure that we had anything and everything we needed. The breakfasts were phenomenal and our room was perfect right down to the pillows and mattress. We will definitely stay here for years to come!

During these workshops, guests try their hand at dipping Laughing Moon’s handmade centers such as Buttercreams, Truffles and Caramels, or dipping their favorite fruit, cookies, or pretzels. The possibilities are endless..bark and clusters to lollipops.

My husband and I booked the Stone Hill Inn for our honeymoon. After staying there for four nights, I can honestly say that we picked an amazing location! Todd and Kristie are simply the best–very helpful and they clearly care about their guests’ experience. We booked the honeymoon package and had a great time at the chocolate making class provided by Laughing Moon Chocolates and dinner at Michael’s on the Hill. The couples’ massage and rose petal turn down were great features as well!

Breakfast in a Snow Globe

Breakfast is obviously a favorite at Stone Hill Inn. Guests comment that eating breakfast with fresh falling snow is like eating in a snow globe. We agree!

Our dining room features 14′ ceilings, 40 windows and individual tables for each guest room. Fresh fruit, home baked breads, muffins, and coffee cakes, gluten free options, homemade granola and yogurt. That’s just the start. The eggs are always fresh; the syrup (Grade A: Med Amber) is always warmed. Sunshine, snow, coffee and delicious breakfast aromas announce the beginning of the day.

**Don’t let diet restrictions keep you from enjoying time away and our lovely Stowe bed and breakfast. We’re happy to make your stay perfect in every way we can. Stone Hill Inn is Yankee Magazine’s ‘Best of New England’ for Romantic Getaway

STOWE, Vt.(BusinessWire)—Yankee Magazine’s “Best of New England” travel guide has named Stone Hill Inn the 2017 Editors’ Choice for Romantic Getaway, noting, “Luxury is the hallmark of this couples-only retreat nestled on nearly 10 acres in the heart of Stowe.”

Kristie Roling, who took ownership of the B&B with her husband, Todd, last December, said, “We fell in love with the romanticism of the gardens, the rooms and the seclusion, and love to share it with other couples, who often come to celebrate a special milestone in their lives.”

“Nearly half our guests come to celebrate an event–a proposal, an engagement, a wedding, an elopement, a honeymoon, an anniversary or a birthday,” agreed Todd Roling, who added, “But Stone Hill Inn is the perfect spot for couples to just spend time together recharging and reconnecting in a romantic escape from their hectic daily lives.”
